Ahmedabad packaged-tea company whose story begins in 1892
Wagh Bakri Tea Group sells packaged tea under brands such as Wagh Bakri, Good Morning, Mili, Navchetan and Royale, with more than 30 tea variants, and also supplies tea vending machines.
The group traces its start to 1892, when founder Narandas Desai began in the tea trade. After returning to India he opened Gujarat Tea Depot in Ahmedabad, and the Wagh Bakri brand, showing a tiger and a goat drinking from one cup, followed. The group is headquartered in Ahmedabad and is run by the Desai family.
