The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation markets dairy products under the Amul brand, including milk, butter, curd, yoghurt, cheese and buttermilk. It is owned by milk producers organised in district dairy unions such as Banas Dairy and Dudhsagar Dairy.
The cooperative movement began in 1946 with Tribhuvandas Patel and is headquartered in Anand.
